Harshad Daswani is an entrepreneur who set up Fountainhead Exports in 2002, to address the growing need for resortwear & destination clothing in the global apparel industry. Today the company is a leading Destination Apparel manufacturer, a niche segment in the country's textile sector. In 2013 he launched The Beach Company in India – as an omni-channel retail business with the sole mission of changing the way India approaches the water, by becoming the home of swimming in the country.
Harshad graduated from the OPM Program at Harvard Business School. Prior to this, Harshad studied at Cathedral & John Connon School in Mumbai, before pursuing his BBA in Management at the College of William and Mary in Virginia.
Fountainhead Exports is an early adopter of recycled polyester fabrics and the production facilities are audited to global standards by SSEDEX, BSCI and other agencies. Fountainhead exports garments to 19 countries..
Shuja Mirza is a graduate in Science from the California State University. Having a rich experience in marketing, he is responsible for heading the REDTAPE business in the pan-India market. He oversees operations, product development and design and manufacturing. Shuja introduced the retailing units in the company which helped multiply the business. With exposure from international markets he is responsible for diversifying and bringing the needed vigor to the company. The company is one of the largest Indian suppliers of finished leather to overseas markets in 28+ countries.
Anjali Patel Mehta is a former investment banker and enjoys traveling, golf, the beach, art and design. She is a mother of two, and an alumnae of Wellesley and the Indian School of Business. Anjali founded Verandah out of the need to find customized, boho-luxe, chic, and fuss-free travel separates. Verandah’s products are made using ultra soft, artisanal fabrics and hand work from India. She accomplished all of this without any formal training in fashion and while her life was spent traveling between Mumbai and New York. Her mission today is to create a joyful Indian luxury label inspired by the sights, smells, and contours of her land but presented in a contemporary fashion.
