Become a Chapter or Committee Volunteer

Build community. Shape the ecosystem.

Chapter and Committee Volunteers help power HarvardAE - either by supporting local chapter activity or by contributing to global committees.

You might contribute by:

  • Supporting or helping lead a local HAE chapter

  • Planning events, meetups, and founder programming

  • Serving on a global committee (programs, partnerships, community, content, or operations)

  • Helping strengthen member engagement across regions

Roles are flexible and vary by chapter or committee.

Become a Mentor

Support founders where it counts.

Mentors help founders think clearly and move faster—especially at key inflection points.

Ways to mentor:

  • Accelerator Lead Mentor: Paired with one company for our 10-week Accelerator (1–2 hrs/week)

  • Subject Matter Expert: Office Hours in areas like pricing, product-market fit, go-to-market, and fundraising (1–3 hrs/month)

  • Guest speaker or community moderator

Become a Venture Scout

Help us find the next great Harvard startups.

Venture Scouts surface high-potential, Harvard-affiliated founders and help ensure strong teams get seen.

As a Scout, you’ll:

  • Submit founder leads

  • Share context and insight

  • Work with the HarvardAE team
